COLOUR FRESH
The Freshwater uses tones of blue and white to create a fresh yet functional aesthetic. The clean white dial is textured with a subtle wave pattern and framed by a grey minute track. Both the applied metal blue hour markers and blue handset are filled with aqua-coloured Super-LumiNova for a bright punch of lume in the dark. A day/date window is at three o’clock, with the days available in both English and French. Around the edge of the dial is a mirrored rehaut, which reflects the minute track and dial, creating the impression that the dial goes beyond the watch itself. This clean, legible dial is framed by the rotating bezel, which features an aqua-blue aluminium insert. The markers of this insert are also lumed to ensure legibility under any circumstances. A multi-functional watch that is bold and beautiful in one.
FEATURES
Hard Case - The AquaMatic’s case is fashioned from a solid block of marine-grade 316L stainless steel, a specialist metal that improves the inherent benefits of regular stainless steel by increasing levels of chromium and molybdenum to deliver a toughened steel with exceptional corrosive resistance.
Crystal Clear - The dial is protected by a flat sapphire crystal that sits flush against the case so that its edge cannot be scratched or chipped. Both sides have been applied with a hardened anti-reflective coating to give a clear view whatever the weather.
STORY
The watch is named after Freshwater West Beach in Pembrokeshire, Wales. Set in a stunning area of natural beauty, the breaks off the coast of Freshwater West create consistent swell and strong waves which make it a surfer’s paradise. In fact, for many years the south-westerly facing beach has been used as the venue of the Welsh National Surfing Championships. Freshwater West has also been used as a shooting location for two films - Ridley Scott's Robin Hood and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
